DDB continued to produce solid creative in what was a pretty challenging year for most agencies.
Notable work included Coors ‘Dream’, Heartkids ‘Things can change in a heartbeat’, McDonald’s ‘Order now’, ‘TikTok sting’, ‘End of night’, ‘We’ve got to hold on to what we’ve got’ and ‘April Fool proof’; Streets ‘Bubble O’Bill book’, VW ‘Golf adbreak championships’, ‘Horror’ posters and ‘Walkinshaw station’; Westpac ‘Life is eventful’ and Australian Red Cross ‘Not another gift shop’.
DDB was ranked #1 in the CB Creative Circle, #2 Australian agency in 2021 by Bestads and #1 Australian agency at the Immortal Awards.
The last 12 months have seen the agency increase billings to $350m. Zero client losses and 35 new business wins including Domain, Jose Cuervo, Danone, The Kraken, Smith’s, Bluebird, Doritos, Red Rock Deli, Twisties, Burger Rings, Kettle Chips, Nobby’s, Sakata, Cheetos, Tostitos, Delissio, Boodles Gin, Tincup Whiskey, 1800 Tequila and Discovery+.
