DDB Sydney has promoted Matt Chandler from creative partner to the newly created role of deputy ECD.

Chandler joined the agency in March 2014 as a senior copywriter and was promoted to creative partner in 2016.

Previously, Chandler spent time as a senior copywriter at Droga5 Sydney, and almost two years at JWT London.

At DDB, Chandler has worked on both the Westpac and McDonald’s creative accounts.

In his new role, Chandler will be responsible for the development of young creative talent and supporting executive creative director Tara Ford.

Chandler said of his promotion: “It’s pretty wonderful to get your dream job without having to go through all that business of changing agencies. There’s no other place I’d rather be working than DDB Sydney, we have a department of delightful, talented creative people and the best clients in the universe. Add to that the combined wisdom of Damon, Ben and Tara – well, as I said, dream job.”
